Ingredients
Scale
- 3 apples Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg Egg Wash (or plant-based milk with maple syrup)
Instructions
- Start by washing and peeling the apples. Core and slice them into thin sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss until the apples are well coated. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- If using frozen puff pastry, allow it to thaw for about 30 minutes. Roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Cut it into rectangles.
- Place a few apple sticks on one end of the pastry rectangle. Roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a little water.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Brush the tops of the rolled apple sticks with the egg wash.
- Place the apple sticks into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
- Once done, carefully remove the apple sticks from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
